Free Morning Show Radio Automation Software

Dec 2nd, 2007 | By Justin Kaiser | Category: Broadcast Software

I received an e-mail from a good friend of mine, Darren Marlar asking about software options to bring his morning show on the road.  Darren does a top rated show for 101-QFL in Rockford, IL and is a very funny family friendly comedian.  He wanted to know if there is a program that is free or low-cost to set up on a laptop and use to fire off sound effects on the air at the click of a mouse?

Here are our recommendations, and if you’ve got your own, please add to the conversation…

“Here is what I’m envisioning – I want hot buttons and a cart deck or something that I could load a lot of sounds onto that could play one after the other, segueing over each other if possible – bang, bang, bang… Essentially I’m wanting a laptop version of Scott Studios on-air console.”

Here’s what we found…

I’m highly impressed with the Jazler show software.

Good luck Darren and thanks for providing a great show!
